Justyna Palka (1985–2011) was a passionate designer, a border crosser between art and design – and a person who went through the world with open eyes. Her designs were clear, well thought-out and always carried by an inner concern: the desire to combine beauty with meaning.

Shaped by a deep connection to her family, she drew strength from a firm foundation of values – loyalty, warmth and mutual support formed the home that accompanied her on each of her paths.

Who she was

Justyna Palka was more than a designer. She was a seeker – for clarity, expression, connection. Born in Krakow in 1985 and raised in Germany, she found her creative home in Chicago, where she studied visual communication at the renowned School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her works testify to conceptual strength, typographic finesse and an eye for the essential. Those who met her remember her warm laughter – and an attitude that viewed life with open senses.
