Between Determination and Expressiveness – Three Voices on Justyna Palka
Sometimes the words of others tell more about a person than they ever could themselves. Three lecturers from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) accompanied Justyna Palka during her studies – in very different disciplines, but their impressions combine to form a coherent picture: that of a young artist who pursues her path with perseverance, curiosity and a clear vision.
Enthusiasm as a Driving Force
In the design course, Justyna stood out above all for her enthusiasm for learning. Although she had little experience with the computer program used or the basics of visual communication at the beginning, she impressed with a consistent work ethic and steady progress.
“Throughout the entire semester, Justyna consistently demonstrated great enthusiasm for learning and an impeccable work ethic – clear signs of her high quality in implementation. With her determination and commitment, I am convinced that she will continue to achieve great things in the future.”
The teacher concluded her feedback with personal words – an expression of genuine appreciation, as one does not find in every assessment.
Analytical Precision and Linguistic Strength
Justyna also demonstrated her strength in literary discourse. Her lecturer in the essay course praised not only the final paper, but the entire written performance of the semester. Structure, argumentation and depth testified to attentive participation and clear analytical thinking.
“All your work was well written. You structured and analyzed both works at a high level. Your thematic explanations showed how attentively you followed the lessons. Very good!”
The fact that Justyna received the highest grade in this course seemed almost self-evident – the result of an attitude that places quality above routine.
Commitment to the Point of Exhaustion
In another project course, she met a lecturer who perceived not only her professional performance, but also her workload. Justyna had chosen a topic that addressed the central questions of the semester – demanding, reflected, personal.
“I find your work truly impressive. You have chosen a topic that addresses many of the questions of the semester. Take good care of yourself – you work very hard, but your intelligent and committed engagement will continue to pay off. You are an excellent student.”
There is more than just an assessment between these lines. It is the recognition for a young woman who throws herself into her work with all her might – knowing that artistic creation is often as demanding as it is fulfilling.
Three voices, three perspectives – and yet a common tone: respect, admiration, confidence in what Justyna Palka will still produce. Anyone who has experienced her seems sure that this is just the beginning.
