Justyna Palka Exhibition in Chicago (USA)
On March 4, 2015, the first exhibition and memorial event in honor of Justyna Palka took place at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). The evening combined art, music, and remembrance – at the place where Justyna completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts and spent many formative years of her life.
The event offered a diverse program with musical performances and a performance interlude by a ballet dancer, which reflected Justyna’s passion for movement, expression, and design in a special way.
The focus was on the presentation of the book “She Simply Disappeared”, the proceeds of which go 100% to the Justyna Palka Memorial Scholarship – a scholarship from SAIC that is awarded annually to talented students.
Numerous guests, faculty, friends, and companions participated and created an atmosphere of warmth and gratitude – a moving prelude to the following memorial exhibitions.
